To Plan and implement the Drinking Water Supply and
Sanitation policy.
To Plan and implement Annual and Five Year Programmes.
To co-ordinate and review all Water Supply and
Sanitation programmes.
To Co-ordinate the Water and Sanitation programmes with
Govt. of India.
To approach International Funding agencies for
procurement of funds and implementing the bilateral projects
to control the administration of the Board and review the
status.
To support Water Conservation and Harvesting Programmes.
To formulate and recover the water charges.
To decide and implement the Water Supply & Sanitation
service standards.
To operate and maintain the Water Supply & Sanitation
service standards.
To operate and maintain the Water Supply Schemes to
develop human resources for the effective implementation of
programmes
